The Wisconsin Hereford Association wishes to recognize and thank Warren and Isabel Brown and their family for all of their support of the Hereford Cattle breed in Wisconsin and the WHA for many years. The Browns were instrumental in bringing Polled Herefords to Wisconsin, and helped develop lasting commitments to the breed and its attributes by many cattle producers throughout the state and across the nation. The Browns’ focus on cattle quality and functionality helped established Hereford Cattle as a profitable and dependable beef breed in Wisconsin. They mentored many beginning Hereford Breeders over the years, and were very supportive of youth Hereford activities, helping to establish the Junior association.
Warren and Isabel helped to establish the WPHA and both served as president. Isabel also served as Executive Secretary of the Association. In 1995 Browns were inducted in the WHA’s Hall of Fame, and in 2020, they were inducted into the American Hereford Association’s Hall of Fame. For more information on their AHA Hall of Fame Award,
